I haven’t been updating a lot recently. It all leads back to my “stomach” pains. I’ve been having these pains of and on for about 10 years now, in the center and right of my ribcage, radiating to my back. Many years ago I had several tests and the conclusion was, “You’ll just have to live with it.” Now lately it’s been bothering me more often than usual. Finally went back to the doctor and he ordered an ultrasound. Don’t have the results yet since the doc is on vacation (yay..), but it appears to be a gallbladder/gallstone problem.
I haven’t been able to eat very well and also haven’t had much energy to go on cooking sprees. Hopefully I will get my results soon and they’ll be able to fix these damned pains.
So there’s the reason why I haven’t updated much. Hope you don’t forget my corner of the web and come back to visit every once in a while.
Live on the Flip Side has featured my cheesecake at the end of their video. Make sure to comment and subcribe to their Youtube Vlog. They just gave me an excuse to make another cheesecake. For those who aren’t as patient, see my Raspberry Cheesecake recipe and just leave out the raspberries.
This is our picnic along the Maas/Meuse. In our cute picnic basket we brought: sandwiches of sour dough bread with arugula, my asian chicken and a bit of kewpy mayo, bf made yoghurt scones and I made raspberry and white chocolate muffins. For the muffins I followed Nigella’s recipe, which I can tell you wasn’t a big succes. For one they were rather caramelised on the bottom and the white chocolate wasn’t of very good quality. Also the muffins weren’t light enough.
For lack of a blanket we sat on a bench. Our peace was disturbed by someone parking his scootmobile behind us while playing his radio with bad reception. As time got on we were surrounded by more and more elderly. LoL, I guess it’s the category we fit into.
Our view from the bench. Not the prettiest with all the factories, but we had a nice view of the Meuse and the BIG ships and small boats that passed us. The weather was really nice, very sunny, but windy enough to cool us down.
On msn I was talking to P the friend in the Hague, who I bought the baking tin for. He wanted to make his own cheesecake.
On World of Warcraft I was talking to A about how P got the vibe of cooking and wanted to make cheesecake.
P: Going to the supermarket to grind for some cheesecake mats.
Me: lol
A: Now I feel like having cheesecake.
Me: We should raid his house and loot the cheesecake.
